My Life In The 16th Century.

Today, someone asked me to tell my life, my daily life so, I'm gonna tell you what I told him. I live in a small village and I live from farming. I collect water from the village pumps, wells or streams but it is often polluted. We call the toilets 'Privies' but they are not very private at all...

They are often just a piece of wood over a bowl or a hole in the ground. I have to work hard and struggle to survive. I work six days a week and I eat coarse grey bread made from rye and barley. We eat soups which are made from vegetables and herbs.

Life for us in Tudor times is harsh. When the harvest fails it is tempting for poor people to steal food. When people break the law, they risk public flogging or being haned.

Weekend...

This weekend was a bit boring but it's okay, on Saturday evening, some of us went to the musical : " We Will Rock You ". It was amazing, but at the begining it was hard to understand the story but the end was just perfect. I enjoyed myself and I hope to see a musical again one time in my life. :) Then on Sunday some people went to Thorpe Park, I didn't... I went to Pro-foot, it was very good !

The Globe Theatre.

The day 22 of July the juniors of Queenswood, went to the Globe Theatre. This theatre is very old, it is the theatre that the characters interpret the scenes of Shakespeare. In 1949, when Sam Wanamaker came to London for the first time, he looked for the site of the original Globe and was disappointed not to find a more lasting memorial to Shakespeare and his theatre. The entrance cost 1 penny and the women not can enter. There are two types of seats: the ones that, if it rains you are going to be wet and the ones that you can sit in and you won’t be wet. All of the theatre is empty of a lot of technology; all is make it by hand and the decorations of the scenery is very good and is of natural things.
Later the students went out of the theatre and they went to buy something. There they saw the St. Paul’s Cathedral, they crossed the Thames and near the river they saw Tower bridge.

THE FUTURE...

Hi, today we have to write something about the future. So I have decided to write about how it would be in the future. e.g. City, cars, technology, ...

First of all, I think that most of the city would be bigger and more beautiful (I hope). It will have bigger buildings, and like that more people would be able to work in it. Also, I suppose that the cars will be able to fly or something like that, they will also be bigger, faster and more beautiful. About the technology, I think that there will be computer in the cars and they will be very fast also you will have a phone that works with voice ! (It does work on the last Iphone 3Gs )

That's how I hope future will be! Tell me how you would like it to be! :)

OUR TRIP TO LONDON...

On Wednesday 8th July, we went to London by bus to visit a part of London and the British Museum. After a long journey, one hour and a half, we arrived into London. Over there a guide came and took us on a small trip around London. In this trip we saw the Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, the royal guard and a lot of other things.

Then we had lunch and we took the bus again to the British Museum. Over there, our teachers gave us a piece of paper and told us to complete it. In the British Museum everyone went his way. There were a lot of beautiful things and it was a great experience for everyone. After that we came back and went back to Quenswood.
